I actually bought this to use for an occasional sleep apnea problem, caused by an old sports injury to my nose… Though it didn’t work for me cause of the peculiarities of my sleeping pattern, I roll around a lot etc… which is why I can’t use CPAP… But that said, if your someone who has a problem, and can keep this in, I would highly recommend giving it a try, cause with it in, you can definitely take a lot of air, and a lot less cumbersome that most machines and appliances, and you can’t beat the cost for giving it a try! And the quality is great, no smell, non toxic silicone as opposed to rubber… Also I believe that this would work well for the actual purpose for which it is intended, scuba… For this price, what have you got to lose…
